This kit includes chrome molding for the entire windshield perimeter and two lower corner clips (Part #91454121710) to secure the trim. Crafted to match the original’s shine and fit, the corrosion-resistant chrome resists fading and wear. It requires 19 trim clips (Part #91454192111, sold separately) for installation. For sealing, pair with 914Rubber’s 8 mm x 15' butyl cord (Part #477898011A, two rolls needed).
Installation needs plastic trim tools, isopropyl alcohol, lint-free cloth, and care. Clean the windshield frame to remove debris. Install the butyl cord and glass first (see 914Rubber reseal kit instructions). Snap the 19 trim clips into the frame’s mounting holes. Align the chrome molding, starting at the top center, and press it into the clips, securing the corner clips last. Work slowly at the tight lower corners. A 914 restorer noted, “These moldings transformed my windshield—perfect fit!” Allow 24 hours for sealant curing.
